The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that:
21. —(1) The responsible person must ensure that his employees are provided with adequate safety training ......
a) include suitable and sufficient instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard himself and other relevant persons on the premises;
Delegates will have the opportunity to understand the principles of fire safety, including legislation, fire equipment and communicating with the emergency services. The course also includes two practical elements.
The M4S Fire Warden Training will provide the essential foundation for Fire Marshalls to meet their increased responsibilities with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997. This regulation which came into effect on 1 December 1997, includes the requirement for all employers to complete an 'assessment of fire risk' for people in the workplace. This course is intended for staff member(s) who have responsibility for Fire Safety within the organisation.
To help those with fire safety responsibilities to have the confidence to carry out their tasks confidently and efficiently.
